When you travel, whether for personal or professional reasons, you get worldwide coverage with UNIQA. All care, including elective care, is covered abroad (except in the US).
Here's how the refund procedure works:
Online submission of invoices
You can submit your claims online via the secure myUNIQA.ch platform, accessible from anywhere in the world. Simply upload photos or pdf files of your invoices to be reimbursed. A notification is sent as soon as the request has been processed and the reimbursement made.
Emergencies abroad
In the event of a medical emergency abroad, contact UNIQA Assistance immediately. You’ll find all their contact details on your physical insurance card or virtual card via myUNIQA.ch.
Hospitalisation
If you need to be hospitalised, the hospital can contact us or our 24/7 UNIQA Assistance service to arrange for your care. In the event of hospitalisation in the USA or Canada, policyholders must contact our 24/7 UNIQA Assistance service to arrange hospital care with our local partner.
